Is Economics Education Fit for the 21st Century?
The Post-Crash Economics Society would love to invite you to our report launch, Is Economics Education Fit for the 21st Century?.
Join us for presentation on the findings of our report and a discussion about what we should expect from our economics education. Our launch will involve:
- A keynote address by Jo Michell, Chair of the Post Keynesian Economics Society, a Fellow of the Forum for Macroeconomics and Macroeconomic Policy of the Hans-Böckler Foundation and a member of the Progressive Economy Forum Council
- A workshop from our friends at Decolonising Economics
- A discursive panel discussion with members of the Post-Crash team and academics from the University of Manchester, both in the economics department and out.
This event provides an excellent opportunity for students to share their unique perspectives, insights, and experiences with their fellow course mates. They can deliberate on the economics curriculum and its potential to cater to evolving societal goals.
The event will be held on 1st May 2024 from 2 pm till 5 pm with a social session afterward, to build connections with fellow course mates, academics and like-minded people working towards the same goal.
